It’s fall, and even though we may miss the long, warm summer days, now we can enjoy meals that are just perfect for cooler weather. We may do less grilling, but more stewing. Drink less Lemon Shandies, but more Pumpkin Ale. Fall is the ideal time to experiment with new
Sure, it’s one more trip on a Saturday morning, but for many people in the Raleigh and Cary area, the stop at the butcher’s shop is not an indulgence, but a necessary visit. Whether you want to stock up on meat for the week or augment your menu with a
Paleo. We hear it all the time, with the claim that by following this diet, people can lose weight and eat a simpler healthier diet. Short for Paleolithic, a time ranging from 2.5 million to 200,000 years ago, the Paleo diet is a modern take on eating the way of
Have you been to The Butcher’s Market in Raleigh or Cary on the weekend lately? If not, you’re missing out on an adventure. You probably know The Butcher’s Market as one of the best places in the Triangle to find fresh seafood, quality meats, tasty sides and locally produced goodies.
When you walk into The Butcher’s Market, you’ll receive a friendly hello and offer of help. We love to greet customers—new and repeat—and give them a tour of the store, introduce them to new food and help them create a great meal.
Here are some of the great folks you’ll see

Firing up the grill? Think about a burger made with ground bison. This meat, made from buffalo, is lean and packed with protein. Because it’s so lean, we recommend

Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and we’ve got ideas to make sure the mother in your life is treated to a day she won’t forget. Mother’s Day is THE busiest day of the year in restaurants. Skip the crowds, and serve her a beautiful quality meal at home.
After completing the Whole Hog Butcher demonstration at the 2015 Beer & Bacon fest at Cary’s Koka Booth Amphitheater we quickly package it up and delivered it to local food pantries such as the Fuquay Varina Emergency Food Pantry.
Thank you so much for your vote in the Independent Weekly Best of 2014
We purchased a salami pack with 4 types of variety. We loved the Coppa hands down. Could you tell us if we could buy the Coppa sliced from a whole log of the salami. Can you tell me how long it would take to pick it up and the cost? We were first time customers and you all were so kind to pack up a free chicket breast. It was also delicious! Thank you so much and we are happy customers and look forward to becoming regular customers. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with you and your loved ones!
First time at Butchers, had a super nice young man serve us, Joel. I bought some crazy sounding fish “sheepshead,” It was delicious! Can’t wait to go back and buy more. Thanks Joel, you were a big help to this old lady…
We recently moved here from MA (Ipswich – the home of Ipswich Shellfish). We had been searching for a place to not only buy steak tips but fresh seafood. For anyone who has relocated here from New England and has been missing fresh seafood and steak tips – look no more. We tried it out this weekend and were more than pleased – it was like being back in MA. We will make a weekly visit to this butchery (if we didn’t live an hour and 20 minutes away, we’d make visits more often). The service was great…..such a wonderful experience.
My wife and I lived in Cary, NC for six years introducing a new restaurant concept in the Carolinas. We moved back to Columbus Ohio two years ago and one of the things we miss most is The Butcher Market
There is just nothing here that compares
Keep up the great work
I came to the Butcher’s Market for the first time and everyone was so friendly and helpful. I bought some of the gourmet blend hamburger that I’ve heard so much about from many of my friends. The burgers lived up to the hype, I also bought some marinated steak and it was delicious, flavorful and juicy. The Butcher’s Market got a new customer – between the quality of the meat and the customer service, I’m sold!
I’ve been a Member of the Steak of The Month Club for several years and have been very pleased. At the moment I am not happy as the last three visits you have been out if the Broccoli Salad and was not allowed to substitute for something else … Also the cashier would not allow me to enter my phone number for points for my purchase of the next 6 months (July-December) to obtain points … I left the store quite disappointed and kinda sorry now that I purchased the next 6 months … Probably be my last if they can’t provide items being offered and not allowed to collect points for my purchase!
Good Morning Bert,
I am terribly sorry to hear about being out of the Broccoli Salad. That is a super popular item for us and we always try to keep enough on hand. I am not sure which location you frequent but I will be happy to reach out to that stores management team to be sure that we get that to you as well as research why they would not offer a substitute after trying three times. We will be happy to have them hold one in your name as the stores receive fresh product from our commercial kitchen every Tuesday and Friday.
As for the Points for your purchase, it does say directly on the back of the card that “Rewards Points are not awarded for the purchase or redemption of the Steak of the Month”. This is already a deeply discounted offering we can not award reward points for the purchase of The Steak of the Month nor are points awarded for the monthly redemption.
Please feel free to reach out here or you can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
